LRP and LRDG Reunion 2003

The reunion was held in August this year. Four veterans attended: Tom Ritchie, Ian Judge, Laurie Lilley and Basil Greenstreet. One "Z" Force, and one SBS veteran also attended, along with many widows and family. The Papakura RSA hosted the group on Friday night, where much catching up took place.

The focus of the weekend was a service held at a South Auckland army camp on Saturday in front of the LRP and LRDG, and Z Force memorials. The Greek Commemorative medals were presented to Ian and Laurie, and to family members of those who could not attend.

The afternoon was spent at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, which has some very good displays and is well worth visiting. The Reunion dinner took place that evening.

After the AGM the next day, and some more fabulous food at lunch, everybody departed for another year.
